Rouge returns to Kensington Gardens

Rouge Events have been appointed as hospitality and catering partner for The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in Kensington Gardens this summer.

Rouge Events has been appointed by Threesixty Entertainment to deliver the hospitality and catering for the much-anticipated new production of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in Kensington Gardens during summer 2012.

Following their international smash-hit production of Peter Pan in 2009, Threesixty Theatre is returning to London's historic Kensington Gardens to create another enchanting theatrical experience. The new production - held in a state-of-the-art theatre tent with a seating capacity of 1,500 - combines traditional theatre, puppetry, flying, circus skills, illusion and  360 degree video backdrops to transport both cast and audience to the magical Narnia. This classic story has been adapted for the stage by Olivier award-winning director Rupert Goold.

Rouge previously partnered with Threesixty in 2009 for both the summer run of Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens and the Christmas season at the O2, and has once again been selected to add a touch of magic to the visitor experience by delivering high quality hospitality and refreshments.

Threesixty Producer, Charlie Burnell said, "We are delighted to be working with Rouge again to create a catering and hospitality offering which will enhance the visitor experience for our audience of all ages."

This summer Rouge will produce and manage an exquisitely-styled bespoke bar, private hospitality gazebos, confectionery stalls and themed children’s party packages.

Rouge’s Operations Director, Nick Wright said “We’re really excited to be working on this project. Of course the story lends itself to some magical design elements for the bar and hospitality area, and the location right in front of Kensington Palace is stunning.  It’s going to be a superb summer entertainment destination for everyone from corporates to kids. Peter Pan was a huge hit with over 150,000 people enjoying the show in 2009 so we’re looking forward to an even busier summer with this production; the site size has almost doubled.”

The agency’s ‘Rouge Live’ division has been delivering top-end hospitality and catering since 2002 including provision of the bars, restaurants and hospitality for Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens and at the O2 and ten consecutive seasons of London Fashion Week during its tenure at the Natural History Museum.

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe will run from 8 May – 9 Sep with 9 shows per week. For details and ticketing click here.
