Rouge to promote new Summer Sounds concerts

Rouge partners with Merlin Entertainments Group for Warwick Castle’s Summer Sounds concerts – Jessie J to headline.

Rouge Events and Merlin Entertainments Group will be joint venture promoters of an exciting new weekend of live entertainment at Warwick Castle this July. Rouge has been contracted to deliver Warwick Castle's Summer Sounds concerts, including the Great British Summer Proms and the Ultimate Summer Party.

Brit Award winner and the Voice UK coach Jessie J is to headline this year's Ultimate Summer Party on Friday the 13th July.  The Great British Summer Proms on Saturday 14th July will feature a spectacular evening of classical music with a very special guest performance from Brit Award nominees, the Military Wives Choir. This year’s concert will also pay tribute to our armed forces by fundraising for SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen & Families Association).

Warwick Castle belongs to the Merlin Entertainments Group, the UK’s leading branded, location based entertainment provider for families. The iconic venue has hosted concerts since 1994; Past artists have included JLS, Girls Aloud, Meat Loaf, Will Young, Anastasia, Cliff Richards, Il Divo, Tom Jones and Donny Osmond.

Tim Harrison-Jones General Manager at Warwick Castle said “We are delighted that Rouge Events are joint venture partners for our 2012 Summer Sounds concerts.  Rouge have a wealth of expertise in the live event market and their portfolio of accounts and clients is most impressive.  Their approach to our brief for Warwick Castle Summer Sounds has been met with creativity, enthusiasm and inspiration.  We look forward to working with Rouge to meet our objectives and to delivering our most successful concert season to date.”

The partnership marks the expansion of the Rouge Live branch of the agency, into event promotion as well as production. Rouge Live has already produced large-scale public entertainment events including Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival and hospitality for Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens and London Fashion Week.

Rouge’s co-founder, Nathan Homan said “live music and entertainment have always been a major part of Rouge’s events and more frequently we’ve been creating successful experiences for family audiences. We’re really motivated by the great results we’ve had with other outdoor music festivals, Skyfest and Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival. The chance to partner with one of the world’s leading family entertainment brands is definitely a great opportunity to strategically extend Rouge’s live portfolio and establish Warwick Castle as an amazing concert destination.”
