Boomerang Pets' Party – Top 20 PR Campaigns

Boomerang Pets' Party in the Park has been named in PR Week's top 20 campaigns. Congratulations to our friends at Cow PR for running a great media campaign for one of our favourite events of 2010.

 

The world's 1st ever ice-cream van for dogs, serving K99s, proved a hit with the public as well as resonating with a wide variety of media. Attending guests were greeted by their favourite cartoon characters including Scooby Doo, Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny. In the Pink Panther Pet Parlour, children made customised, branded dog tags, while in Garfield's Kitchen, weird and wonderful concoctions were brewed, including the world's fastest setting jelly and a lasagne made from liquid. A petting farm with rabbits, pigs, alpacas and a pony kept the children enthralled while the food village meant it wasn't just the pets that were well fed.

The results speak for themselves. More than 5,000 people attended the party – an 800% increase in footfall on the previous year. The event generated more than 175 pieces of branded coverage across TV channels in Boomerang's key markets worldwide. Highlights included a two-minute item on News At Ten and a feature on The One Show. Exceptional ROI for Boomerang, delivered by Rouge and Cow PR - collaborative teamwork at its best.
