Live by the Lake Launches

We’re delighted to announce the line-up for Live by the Lake – the 2013 Kenwood House concert series.

After a one year break, the English Heritage concert season at Kenwood House will return with Live by the Lake this August, uniting world-class music with a breath-taking back-drop to create a spectacular musical experience on the London summer calendar.

The full line up so far is below, with more exciting support guests to be announced:

Friday 23 August: Suede

Saturday 24 August: Choral Greats with The Royal Choral Society & The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra

Sunday 25 August: Keane

Friday 30 August: Singin’ in the Rain Live Musical Score and Film Screening featuring The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra

Saturday 31 August: Opera Alfresco featuring the English National Opera Orchestra

Sunday 01 September: Summertime - An Evening of Gershwin

Rouge’s director Nathan Homan said “We are absolutely esctatic to launch our inaugural Live by the Lake series with such a strong and diverse line up. Our mission, as ever has been to programme innovative exciting performances for both classical and popular music and we couldn’t be more pleased with this stunning programme.”

Alex Sydney, Head of Historic Properties in London for English Heritage, said “We are delighted to be bringing the picnic concerts back to Kenwood this summer. This year will be an exciting one for Kenwood. The concerts are returning and then later in the year, the House will reopen – repaired, restored and refreshed.”
